Supporting mental health has always been a priority for us…
From day one at 92º, we knew we wanted to make a difference - starting with those smiling faces that hand you coffee, morning, noon and night
The last 18 months have been incredibly challenging for everybody, which illuminated to us just how important it was to prioritise the mental and physical wellbeing of our team.
We looked within to see what we could change to better support all members of the 92º family. Giving them the ability to prioritise their physical and mental health, both inside and outside of the workplace.
Our initial steps…
Our first step was engaging our confidential Employee Assistance Programme & Employee Wellbeing programme 24/7 365. This supports our team with:
- In-person counselling
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions
- Telephone, email & live chat counselling: someone to talk to any time of day
- Finance management, debt and legal advice
- Online physical and mental health assessment tools
- Occupational & medical health assessments
- Online health portal & app: which can be used on the go and wherever you are
Introducing this scheme has helped our team to understand that help is always at hand and that as a company, we care about their wellbeing. We encourage all of our staff to speak up about their struggles when they feel them, as we don’t believe anyone should suffer in silence.
Latest steps
August 2021 was another milestone for us as we became a Living Wage employer. We now work with the Living Wage Foundation to ensure all of our employees are always paid above the living wage.
This was a huge step for us and it was something that our managing director Gerard Bowers-McIntyreand CEO Jack Brewitt wanted to implement from day one. We recognise that financial stresses can impact mental health, which is part of why our wellbeing programmes include financial management, debt and legal advice for all employees. However, we wanted to make sure that all of our employees could afford the cost of living, which is why we joined the Living Wage Foundation.
The future
There’s always room for improvement and we know that whilst we have taken huge steps so far, there will be more for us to do in the future as our company continues to grow.
We continuously review our procedures to ensure that everything is relevant and fair for our team.
Following World Mental Health Day, we are happy to share the steps that we have taken to show our dedication to supporting our employees mental and physical health.

Much love, 92º Team.
